Article Summary:
Since the year 2006, over 2,000 Elephants have been found dead in an African Park near the Sahara Desert. So after a long time of investigating, they have finally realized the problem.
The problem was that many Ivory poachers have been killing off many of these parks many elephants, and have been at it for a while. Because of them, the elephant population has rapidly decreased and is causing a problem for them. Also, while trying to stop these poachers, many park gaurds and rangers have been shot and killed or severly injured.
Opinion:
I'm wondering if the poachers will ever get caught and if anymore casualties will happen as a result of the poachers not being caught. I aslo wonder if they will become an extinct group of elephant if they keep dying off. If the elephants are dying off will it affect the benefits of the entire park. and if the poachers are ever caught, what was their purpose for killing off the creatures in the first place. I heard that there are up to 3,500 elephant now dead.
