Monkey Recall Memory Mirrors That of Humans

Monkeys are now considered to have the memory to be able to recall simple figures. By knowing this, scientist can see how our minds changed over the evolutionary track. They also believe that knowing more about the monkeys' memory can help us diagnose our own memory problems. This also proved that things can be well remember without the use of a language. Because these tests work on monkeys, scientist believe they can get them to work on other species.

This was interesting to see what scientist do to learn things about their subject. Using monkeys to help us with our memory problems would never have crossed my mind. It was a good idea to test this on monkeys because many people believe that we evolved from monkeys, and it would open up ideas on what we came from. Creative tests like these can help greatly and solve many problems. Scientists just need to do more of these tests to discover things that would be unknown to us without them.
