Hey Get Off My Back

"Explosive Evolution In Pupfish"

Scientist have discovered that two species of pupfish fish have evolved to a point where their jaws have changed. What for? Their new diet, a diet consisting of fish scales. They eat the scales of other fish. They are the only known species of fish to actually consume scales. Although these two are only found in aquariums and special locations. Scientist have called them "explosive" in the way the evolve. According to researches they evolve 130 times faster then any other species.

This is certainty and interesting find. I've never heard of a fish eating scales. It's not cannibalism, it's not mutalisum, it seems to be some sort of parasitism. When I saw the article I was instantly intrigued at the evolution tag line. Although these are just pupfish fish, understanding they way they evolve and change to their environment, might help us as humans to do the same with our selves. I strongly hope that they will continue their research!
