Rare 89-Million-Year-Old Flying Reptile Fossil from Texas May Be World's Oldest Pteranodon

Just north of Dallas, a fossil of a flying reptile was found. Called the Pteranodon, it may be the oldest specimen of its kind yet. It is said to have lived over 89 million years ago. This is the first time this animal has been found in Texas so far. A large bone of the left wing was discovered which made it easier to identify the reptile.

Another dinosaur has been found in America. Many dinosaur fossils are being found which shows that there must have been many dinosaurs in this area. It seems like being a paleontologist would be interesting since so many fossils are being found. The more fossils that are found, the broader our knowledge can get about dinosaurs. From fossils like these, new discoveries can be made about their habitat, diet, predators, etc.
