My article was about the a hundred million year old fossil of a carnivorous criket like creature. The animal still lives in southern Asia. It also states the the creature has not undergone many evolutionary changes. The fossil was found in a limestone fossil bed in northeastern Brazil. They are also very fast and dash around on sandy areas looking for prey.
In my opinion I believe that this find is very unique and can help scientists of today advance in their studies and research. It also interests me that fossils can hold up and not be damaged; especially for a hundred million years. I think it is also cool that this "criket" was a carnivore because they are so small and I never would have thought they would have ever eaten meat. However, there is a downfall; being that they still exist people in southern Asia must be careful of these creatures. Lastly I believe there may be something more to this creature such as it's bite being fatal, or being able to jump really high. This article was very interesting and I like hearing about new discoveries involving animals. Thank you for reading.
