Summary
So basically, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer(IASLC) did a study on how DNA is linked with Lung Cancer. They maybe a big experiment to see if what they thought was correct. The Experiment was that they took 446 patients with advanced small cell lung cancer and analyzed their blood. They concluded that having high levels of circulating DNA may indicate faster progression in the development of lung cancer and lower overall survival. This article was published on February in the Journal of Thoracic Oncology.
Opinion
Overall, I seriously think that this is something that scientists should really look into some more. The reason being that maybe some more further investigation in this could result in some major scientific discovery. For example, maybe they could make something that will help fight against the cancerous cells inside the body. I also believe that they should make an even bigger experiment on this. So like instead of 446 patients, maybe 1,000 or something like that.
