Life time Immunity

http://www.biologynews.net/archives/2011/02/23/virusmimicking_nanoparticles_can_stimulate_long_lasting_immunity.html

Opinion: The fact that scientists have found a way to create long lasting immunity for mice is great. Time to start experimenting on humans. It is beginning to a period where we can stop HIV, cancer, and all of that bad stuff. Personally I have never had anything too bad with the normal flu being worst so I don't know truly how bad it really is. To those who have this will leave them with joy. TLR's will hopefully advance and too bad it won't work on birth defects.

Summary: The early vaccines for smallpox and yellow fever were a big success leaving us immune for decades. Now scientists have come up with an even better solution to diseases. They use nanoparticles to simulate virus size and immunlogical composition to promote life long immunity. The scientists are excited where htey will go with this. They have been using the yellow fever vaccine on humans and sought their reaction to know how they'd react to something like this. In the yellow fever vaccine, it stimulates toll-like receptors that sense bits of bacteria, viruses and parasites then activate the immune system. In 2009 scientists compared results from monkeys and mice.
